Quilling or Paper Filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create decorative designs. In this post, I will be showing some types of quilling and their uses in making different designs.
1)Loose coils: Loose coils are one of the most basic shapes in paper quilling. They can be shaped into a number of different shapes to form flowers, leaves, drops, branches and other things.

2) Beehive Quilling: This type of quilling technique is used to fill in large areas, such as flower petals or inside text. Here, you make multiple rolls on a single strip and then mold the outline into desired shape and space. The size of your coils will depend on the number of turns you make with your quilling tool in each roll.

3) Malaysian Quilling: This type of quilling is used to make different petals of flowers. It is also used in quilling jewellery.

4) Comb Quilling: This is a type of advanced quilling which is made using a wide toothed comb. This art form demands practice but at the same time, the results of the practice are beautiful. It can be used to make petals of flowers and leaves.
